Naraku has now been reborn into the body of an infant named Akago. As he leaves the Inu Yasha group on the crumbling Mt. Hakurei, he throws Koga in the middle of it, forcing the heroes to try to rescue him. Meanwhile, he sets out to face off against Kikyo, now that Onigumo's human heart is no longer holding him back. It turns out that Akago can take what small darkness people have in their hearts and use it against them too, which could mean trouble for Kagome and her resentment toward Kikyo.

[edit] Episode 124: Farewell Kikyo, My Beloved

Now that Naraku has been reborn as the infant Akago, he no longer has the human heart of Onigumo to hold him back from killing Kikyo. They face off, but it appears as though Naraku has the upper-hand. Meanwhile, because Naraku through Koga into the collapsing Mt. Hakurei, the Inu Yasha group must save him and his jewel shards before escaping themselves.

Kikyo was defeated, and Inu Yasha refuses to believe it. Kagome's jealousy of Kikyo escalates because Inu Yasha is still looking for. This little bit of darkness in her heart allows Akago to seize control of her, and manipulate her into doing his biddings.

Kagome has a fight internally against Akago. She realizes that the only way to free herself is to let go of her resentment towards Kikyo.
