[edit] Plot Summary

The fight continues between Inu Yasha and Kouga. Naraku has had a hand in tricking the wolves, but Inu Yasha is unable to convince them, and is forced to fight.

Later Naraku reveals two demons that he has borne from his own body, that are veritable puppet henchmen. Kagura of the Wind and Kanna of the Void.

[edit] Episode 40: Deadly Trap of the Wind Sorceress Kagura

InuYasha and Kouga are fighting, while Sango and Miroku attempt to get into Naraku’s castle. A demon puppet by the name of Kagura appears and once Kouga has knocked out InuYasha, she moves in for the kill on Kouga. Kagome finds herself needing to help Kouga before he dies.

Kagura does not want to be Naraku’s puppet, but he proves that as long as he holds her heart, she is powerless to disobey or leave him. Meanwhile InuYasha’s group meets up with a runaway girl, Koharu, whose soul is sucked into Kanna’s mirror, turning her against the group.

Kanna absorbs the souls of humans which allows Kagura to control as if they were dead. Kagome and Sango got hurt by Kanna, but Kanna couldn't absorb Kagome's soul for it was too much for her. Inuyasha still finding the wind scar while Kagura controls the wind in order for him to attack her, but Kanna reflected it back to him. Naraku also comes out to show them that the jewel is mostly in his possession thanks to Kikyo who stole Kagome's jewel earlier.
