Naraku orders Hakudoshi and Kohaku to bring Kikyo out of hiding. Hakudoshi utilizes demonic rats in order to draw her out.

While destroying the demonic rats, Sango and Miroku come face to face with Kohaku. After attempting to destroy the shrine box, from which the rats are coming out, Sango and Kohaku end up hurt and unconscious on the floor. When Kohaku wakes up right besides his sister he flees from the place; he decides he must continue to deceive Naraku in order to destroy him.

Kagome goes back to her time and Inuyasha follows her. After destroying Kagome's bicycle, Inuyasha decides to do chores around the shrine to obtain money to pay for a new bicycle. Unfortunately for him, Kagome's friends find out there is a boy working at the shrine and are interested on meeting him.
