Abi-Hime decides to attack a certain village that Naraku has avoided to attack. Meanwhile InuYasha is also heading to that village, since all survivors head there thinking it's a safe place. Considering the situation, Naraku sends Kohaku to protect the baby's of the lady in the castle inside of that village.

Having being ordered to slaughter everyone in the castle and take the Infant, Kohaku ends up recovering his memory and realizing who he is. As he faces against Sango once again, he is rescued by Kagura, but she doesn't know Kohaku is aware of his past.

Kikyo grants InuYasha an arrow covered with the soil from Onigumo's grave, which he must give to Kagome in order for her to defeat Naraku. Meanwhile Naraku betrays Abi and Tekkei, killing both and using their blood to open a path to the Netherworld
