Hoshiyomi, the leader of the demonic nijas, uses Kagome as a hostage to acquire the demonic halberd in order to fuse it with the Kon blade. When Inuyasha comes to the rescue of Kagome, Hoshiyomi reveals his relationship with a human priestess named Tsukiyomi.
