Although Muso is in incarnation of Naraku, Narku does not seem to be able to control him. When Muso sees Kagome he is is convinced she is the one he seeks in this world and decided to take her. Muso is tormented by visions of a past that he cannot remember. Naraku decided that Muso is too dangerous to let run free and goes to reclaim his incarnation.
